Diary of Anne Frank

Anne Frank is a young girl with many troubles. She is a Jewish girl and is in the middle of the beginning of World War 2 and they are hiding it thier "Secret Annex" for protection. They can't make very much noise do to the workers in the warehouse. It's unfair for them to have to hide away from danger so they won't be killed by Hitlers soldiers instead of being free where they can do what they want. Personally, I think that the reason of for World War 2 is unreasonable because there should be no reason of any kind to murder Jewish people that don't have blue eyes and blonde hair. It's hard to hear that these innocent humans are being killed because of their religious beliefs and thee way they are. So many of the Jewish lived in fear because of the war Hitler started because he wanted to kill them.

How does this poem symbolize the Jews during The Holocaust and in the Concentration Camps? Use specific details from the poem to support your response.
This poem symbolizes Jews during the Holocaust when it says "Atop his chair, the Devil rests" and when it says "Laughing at the pain of his broken guests." It means that hitler is just sitting watching the Jews being tortured and is amused by thier misery. Also, the Devil sounds like Hitler when he would torture the Jews and tattoo them with numbers and no longer had thier real names. When it says "You survive on day, and hope for the next" it sounds just like the Jews praying for thier life. Also, when it says "I dream of a way, to break from this Hell, I'm going crazy, I know, I can tell, but to my faith, I have to stick, to survive the Devil's Arithmetic" it reminds me of the Jews wanting to break free and run away from the concentration camp and sticking to thier faith to survive Hitler's torture. All of it reminds me of how the Jews would be tortured to death and how sick it was for Hitler to think it was fun.
